Today is the Qualifying Race for the Regione Sardegna Grand Prix of Italy, the third round of the UIM F1H2O World Powerboat Championship.

The F1H2O Regione Sardegna Grand Prix of Italy, the third round of the UIM World Powerboat Championship 2024, enters its critical stages today, Saturday, with two key races: the Qualifying Rounds to determine the Pole Position for tomorrow’s main event, and the Sprint Races.

Nine international teams, represented by 18 boats, are participating in the race. Yesterday, Friday, during the Official Practice, the Sharjah Team’s boats, numbers 17 and 18, topped the results.

Victory Boat number 4, led by Erik Stark, leads the overall standings after his excellent performance in the first two rounds of the competition, with a total of 55 points. He leads by 8 points over his top competitor, Rusty Wyatt from the Sharjah Team, who is in second place, and Jonas Anderson from the Vietnam Team, who has 47 points.

The Victory Team, representing the Dubai International Marine Club, has completed all preparations for the race with its two boats: Victory 4, led by Erik Stark, and Victory 3, led by our hero Ahmad Al Fahim, who earned two points in the last round in Vietnam.

Khalid bin Dasmal, a Board Member at the Dubai International Marine Club, arrived in Olbia, Italy, to head and support the club’s delegation in the Grand Prix. This is part of the club’s board of directors' efforts to participate in and support the Victory Team in its international races such as F1H2O and XCAT.

He stated that the third round in Olbia is important for all participating teams, especially the UAE teams representing Victory Team, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. He wished them success in the most challenging race course and the big race in Italy.

He praised the wonderful and distinguished level presented by the Victory Team, which is at the top of the overall standings and is continuously striving for the top position with its two boats. Bin Dasmal also emphasized the importance of today’s two races: the Qualifying Race and the Sprint Races.
